BMW Show 2019 Report

The BMW Show 2019 was a great success as we witnessed some truly incredible machines this weekend! This action packed Bavarian show showcased the finest German machinery as speed, power and beauty was the order of the day. From the Show Paddock and Club Displays to RWYB, we enjoyed an extraordinary day both on and off the track and hope you enjoyed your weekend revelling all things BMW!

The Show Paddock hosted the Autoglym Show & Shine competition. Displaying an impressive array of Bavarian machinery, it was a very tough decision for the judges with some very high-spec vehicles on display.

The winners were as follows:

Best of Show: ADNAN HUSSAIN – BMW F81 M3 Estate Green – Complete M3 estate conversion (BMW don’t make an M3 estate,) starlights in roof, colour coded trims inside, full carbon bits inside & out.

Top 5: JOHN SCOTT – 2016 BMW M4 Yas Mazina Blue – Full GTS M4 part build, custom fit GTS cage and wheels by Judd – possibly only 1 in the UK!

Top 5: JOSEPH MEE – 1990 BMW E30 318i Lux – Fourth owner, barn find 2 years ago, majority original paint, original spec book, brochure and poster found under boot carpet after one year of ownership!

Top 5: KIRAN 94X – 2016 BMW M4 Mineral Grey – Air suspension, Rotiform 3pc LSR forged wheels, race steering wheel, full exhaust, Sakhir orange leather, Rockford Fostgate audio, Bootbuild by Car Audio Security.

Top 5: BARRY SMITH – 1998 BMW 328 Coupe Santorini Blue.

Best Mini: TREVOR ROBINSON – 2002 New Mini Cooper Chilli Red – Union Jack theme, JCW carbon fibre styling.

Judges Choice: MARK TAYLOR – 1976 BMW 2002 Blue.

The RWYB competition saw some ruthless competition throughout the classes; we witnessed an array of BMW’s hit the track with some very impressive ET’s.

The results of the RWYB competition were as follows:

Class A – 1 Series – OKAN ALI AGKURT, BMW 123d, 15.04 @ 95.23mph

Class B – 2 Series – MARWAN ARAKAT, BMW 225d, 14.85 @ 92.93mph

Class C – 3 Series – VISHNU PATEL, BMW 335i, 11.75 @ 120.27mph

Class D – 4 Series – BENJAMIN LAGEY, BMW 440i, 12.66 @111.13mph

Class E – 5 Series – PARVEEN HUNJAV, BMW 535d, 13.42 @ 101.98mph

Class F – 6/7 Series – AAMAR MAHMOOD, BMW 6 Series, 12.57 @ 107.54mph

Class G – 8 Series – DANIEL BUSH, BMW 840ci, 15.97 @ 91.23mph

Class H – I Series – GARY KYRIACOS, BMW 18, 12.43 @ 110.60mph

Class J - M Series (Naturally Aspirated) – SEBASTIAN GUZEK, BMW M3, 12.34 @116.56mph

Class K – M Series (Forced Induction) – TOM WATSON, BMW M2, 11.20 @ 130.91mph

Class M – X Series – MICHAL RATYNKOWSKI, BMW X5, 14.36 @ 98.15mph

Class N – Z Series – SIMONAS PADKAUSKAS, BMW Z4, 12.96 @ 111.95mph

Class P – BMW Mini – THOMAS BARNES, BMW MINI, 12.34 @ 111.40mph

Well done to all!

Over on the Live Stage, legend DJ Richie Don, provided us with the perfect soundtrack for BMW Show, keeping us entertained over in the Show Paddock all day. We witnessed a Jaw - dropping show over in the Live Action Arena as Jon Moore pulled out all the stops with incredible precision driving in Terry Grant’s famous legend! Not forgetting the sideways adrenaline filled fun over in the drift arena!
We hope you all had your cameras at the ready as Martin Hill teared down the track in 7.61 @ 201.48 mph in Fireforce 2 and 5.37 at an incredible 285.02 mph in Fireforce 5!

We would like to say a big thank you to all the clubs for their continued support each year - we were in awe at the fantastic Bavarian machinery on display!
